Event : LABUAN ~ BRUNEI EXTREME KAYAK CHALLENGE
Date
: 20 - 21 April 2008
Venue : Labuan - Brunei - Labuan
A kayak race designed for the highly skilled kayaker. The race will be in a double format
covering a distance of 84km across the Brunei Bay. Participants are provided with special
ocean going kayakers by the organizers. Winners can take home more than RM20,000 in cash
prizes and trophies.

: BOAT TUG-OF-WAR

Venue : Labuan International Sea Sports Complex
This event become very popular since it was introduced during LISC '04. Two boats
are tied together and try to pull their oppenents' boat across a line. The first
boat to pull the buoy across their start line wins. The cash prizes are out for
grab especially to domestic participants and those from the BIMP-EAGA region.

Event : INTERNATIONAL GAME FISHING TOURNAMENT (IGFA REGULATED)
Date : 22 - 27 April 2008
Venue : Labuan - Pulau Layang-layang - Labuan
This pretigious deep sea fishing tournament in the Asian region is part of
Rolex/IGFA Offshore Championship qualifying round also offers the biggest
price money in the region. The winning team will qualify to participate
in the finals of the Rolex/IGFA Offshore Championship held either in Mexico or Hawaii.

: LABUAN INTERNATIONAL BOAT RACE
Date
: 26 - 27 April 2008
Venue : Labuan International Sea Sports Complex
A test of mental and physical strength of local and visiting
oarsman from the BIMP-EAGA region to compete for cash prizes and
trophies worth more than RM20,000. Supporters of various
participating teams can also take part in a unique "Boat
tug-of-war" where the strongest team will take home some
attractive prizes.

ROUND ISLAND KAYAK CHALLENGE

Complex
This 50km race is one of the longest and toughest in Malaysia.
It comprises the individual and double categories. The course runs along the perimeter shorelin of Labuan Island. It tests
the skills and stamina of local and international contestants, including those from the BIMP-EAGA region.

Event : CROSS CHANNEL SWIMMING CHALLENGE

: 27 April 2008
Venue : Labuan - Pulau Papan - Labuan
The swim spans 5.4km of open sea towards Pulau Papan and back to Labuan. Local
and International swimmers vie to break past year's speed records and set new
times in the domestic and open categories. Prizes are worth more than RM20,000
in cash and trophies.
